GENERAL

  1. What is the Online Application Tracking system?
    • Online enquiries system available on the ANZ Originator web site
    • It allows ANZ Originators to view the status of loan applications that they have submitted to ANZ
    • Provide flexible ways of locating particular applications via both pre-defined Quick Searches and Customised Searches
  2. Will one broker be able to access details on applications submitted by other brokers?
    • Generally no. Most brokers will only be able to view details on applications submitted by themselves
    • Brokers will only be able to view details on applications submitted by other brokers if:
      • They are Third Party Originator State Managers (applicable to Australian users only)
      • They are Third Party Originator National Managers or the Principle of an ANZ Third Party Mortgage Originator company
  3. Is the information displayed up-to-the-minute?
    • Depending on the type of search conducted, information can be current up-to-the-minute or as at the close of the previous business day. The system will advise you if information is not current.
    • Information is accurate as of close of business the previous night (ie. does not include today's transactions) if the following statement is displayed on the screen:

      "Results displayed only include data entered into ANZ's Mortgage Originator system to the close of the previous business day. Information on loan applications is only current up until the Settlement Date."

    • Information is up-to-the-minute if the following disclaimer is displayed.

      "Results displayed will reflect data as it is entered into ANZ's Mortgage Originator system. Where access is during a non-business day, the data displayed is as at the close of the last business day. Information on loan applications is only current up until the Settlement Date."

  4. An application has been submitted but it does not appear on the Application Tracking system. Why?
    • The application has not yet been entered into ANZ's Mortgage Originator Solution (MOS) system
    • The application was/ is being processed via alternate ANZ systems to the MOS system that the online Application Tracking system retrieves its data from.
    • Applications processed via alternate ANZ systems, which will not be available via online Application Tracking, are those with 9-digit Application numbers that do NOT begin with the digit, 5.

      • Some of these applications include:

      • The applicant is a company or trust (eg. LAQC's)
      • The product requires lockrates
      • The product is an Equity Manager (relevant to Australia only), Smart Options (relevant to Australia only) or Flexiplus (relevant to NZ only) where lending is above 80%
      • Multi-State stamping is required (relevant to Australia only)
      • Interest-in-advance loans (relevant to Australia only)
      • Top-up to existing loans
  5. Why does the Online Application Tracking system say that an application has been "Withdrawn" when the customer has not requested this?
    • The Bank may withdraw some applications during processing to be assessed through an alternate ANZ system.

APPLICATION TRACKING MAIN PAGE

  1. What is a Quick Search?
    • A pre-defined query
    • Used to locate a particular group of applications
    • For example: All Applications Submitted - Today, Approved Applications - Today etc.
  2. How do you conduct a Quick Search?
    • Select the relevant Quick Search option from:
      • Application Tracking Main Page OR
      • Online Application Tracking Left Navigation bar (after selecting the "Quick Search" option)
  3. For each Quick Search option, which applications are displayed?

    All Applications Submitted Today

    Applications displayed will be all those that were received today.

    All Applications Submitted
    (excluding applications submitted today)

    Applications displayed will be all those received over previous year up to close of business yesterday.

    For example, if today's date is 15/8/02, applications displayed will be applications that were received from 14/8/01 to 14/8/02.

    Applications in Progress

    Applications displayed will be those with the status:

    • Received (awaiting assessment);
    • Credit checking/ Information verification in progress;
    • Forwarded for Mortgage Insurance;
    • Applications in Progress;

    Applications with the following status will NOT be displayed:

    • Approved;
    • Approved In Principle;
    • Approved Subject To;
    • Settled;
    • Declined;
    • Withdrawn.

    Applications displayed will be those that were:

    • Approved (for Approved Applications)
    • Settled (for Settled Applications)
    • Declined or Withdrawn (for Declined/Withdrawn Applications) over the previous 30 days up to close of business yesterday.

    For example, if today's date is 12/8/01, applications displayed will be applications that were:

    • Approved (for Approved Applications) from 13/7/01 to 11/8/01
    • Settled (for Settled Applications) from 13/7/01 to 11/8/01
    • Declined or Withdrawn (for Declined/Withdrawn Applications) from 13/7/01 to 11/8/01.

    Current Month

    Applications displayed will be those that were:

    • Approved (for Approved Applications)
    • Settled (for Settled Applications)
    • Declined or Withdrawn (for Declined/Withdrawn Applications) in the current calendar month up to close of business yesterday.

    Previous Month

    Applications displayed will be those that were:

    • Approved (for Approved Applications)
    • Settled (for Settled Applications)
    • Declined or Withdrawn (for Declined/Withdrawn Applications) in the previous calender month.

    This Calendar Year

    Applications displayed will be those that were:

    • Approved (for Approved Applications)
    • Settled (for Settled Applications)
    • Declined or Withdrawn (for Declined/Withdrawn Applications) from 1st July of the previous year (Australian users) or from 1st April of the previous year (New Zealand users) up to close of business yesterday.

    This Financial Year

    Applications displayed will be those that were:

    • Approved (for Approved Applications)
    • Settled (for Settled Applications)
    • Declined or Withdrawn (for Declined/Withdrawn Applications) from 1st January of the current year up to close of business yesterday.

    Previous 12 months

    Applications displayed will be those that were:

    • Approved (for Approved Applications)
    • Settled (for Settled Applications)
    • Declined or Withdrawn (for Declined/Withdrawn Applications) over the previous year up to close of business yesterday

    For example, if today's date is 12/8/01, applications displayed will be applications that were:

    • Approved (for Approved Applications) from 11/8/00 to 11/8/01
    • Settled (for Settled Applications) from 11/8/00 to 11/8/01
    • Declined or Withdrawn (for Declined/Withdrawn Applications) from 11/8/00 to 11/8/01.

CUSTOMISED SEARCH

  1. What is a Customised Search?
    • User-defined search
    • Used to narrow down the applications that is to be displayed
    • Used to locate a particular application or group of applications
  2. How do you conduct a Customised Search?
    • Select:
      • "Customised Search" from Online Application Tracking Left Navigation bar OR
      • "Specify your own search criteria" from Application Tracking Main Page
    • Specify the value (by entering in or selecting from the drop down list) of one or more search criteria which you wish the application you are looking for to match
    • Click on the "find" button.
  3. For each Customised Search criteria, which applications are displayed?

    Description

    Application Number

    The application displayed will be the one with an Application Number corresponding to the number entered.

    Customer Name

    Applications displayed will be those with at least one Customer Name that corresponds to one or more characters entered by the user.

    For example, if "son" or "SON" is entered, all applications with at least one Customer Name including the three letters "s-o-n" such as "Anson Smith", "Peter Anderson" and "Wilma Wilson" will be displayed.

    Application Status

    Applications displayed will be those with a status corresponding to the one selected.

    From, To

    Applications displayed will be those that were:

    • Received (when "Received (awaiting assessment)" from Application Status drop-down list is selected)
    • Approved (when "Approved" from Application Status drop-down list is selected)
    • Settled (when "Settled" from Application Status drop-down list is selected)
    • Declined (when "Declined" from Application Status drop-down list is selected)
    • Withdrawn (when "Withdrawn" from Application Status drop-down list is selected) between the dates that were entered in the To and From text boxes.

    Total Amount Sought ($)

    Applications displayed will be those where the total amount applied for is equal to, greater than or less than (depending on the option selected) the amount specified.

    Note: Total Amount Sought ($) refers to the Application amount. Therefore, if an application consists of more than one loan, the Total Amount Sought ($) includes the amount applied for in ALL loans within the application.

    Product

    Applications displayed will be those where the Product selected is one of the products included in the application.

    Customer Address - Suburb/City

    Applications displayed will be those with a Customer Suburb/City (ie. Suburb/City of either customer's current residential, security or statement address), corresponding to one or more characters entered by the user.

    For example, if "Glen" or "GLEN" is entered, all applications with Customer Suburb/City including the four letters "g-l-e-n" such as "Glen Waverley", "Glenroy" and "Yarra Glen" will be displayed.

    Customer Address - State(applicable to Australian users only)

    Applications displayed will be those where the Customer's address (ie. either customer's current residential, security or statement address), is in the state selected.

    Customer Address - Postcode

    Applications displayed will be those where the Customer's address (ie. either customer's current residential, security or statement address), includes the postcode entered.

    Originator ID (ANZ staff members only. This search criteria is not available for use by Originators)

    Applications displayed will be those that were submitted by the Originator company that corresponds to the Originator ID entered.

    Sub-Originator ID(Originator State Managers, National Managers & ANZ staff members only. This search criteria is not available for use by Individual Sub-Originators)

    Applications displayed will be those that were submitted by the Sub-Originator that corresponds to the Sub-Originator ID entered.

    Originator Name(ANZ staff members only.This search criteria is not available for use by Originators)

    Applications displayed will be those that were submitted by Originator companies with names corresponding to the one or more characters entered by the user.

    For example, if "Choice" or "CHOICE" is entered, all applications submitted by Sub-Originators from companies such as "Mortgage Choice" and "e-Choice" will be displayed.

    Sub-Originator Name(Originator State Managers, National Managers & ANZ staff members only. This search criteria is not available for use by Individual Sub-Originators)

    Applications displayed will be those that were submitted by Sub-Originators whose name corresponds to the one or more characters entered by the user.

    For example, if "ken" or "KEN" is entered, all applications submitted by Sub-Originators with names including the three letters "k-e-n" such as "Ken Smith", "Peter Token" and "Will Bookens" will be displayed.

    Sub-Originator State(Australian Originator State Managers, National Managers & ANZ staff members only. This search criteria is not available for use by Australian Individual Sub-Originators or all NZ users)

    Applications displayed will be those that were submitted by Sub-Originators located in the state selected.

    Business Channel(ANZ staff members only.This search criteria is not available for use by Originators)

    Applications displayed will be those that were submitted through the Business Channel selected.
  4. Which applications are displayed when more than one search criteria is specified?
    • Applications that match all the search criteria values specified.

      eg. If the user enters "Bob" in the Customer Name edit box and "Hamilton" in the Customer Address - Suburb/City edit box, only applications, which have "Bob" in the Customer Name AND were submitted by customers with (security, statement or residential) address in the suburb/city of "Hamilton" should be displayed.
  5. What does each Application Status mean?

    Definition

    Approved

    Applications that have been unconditionally approved and waiting documents to be executed, before drawdown can take place.

    Approved In Principle

    Applications that have been approved in principle by ANZ, but have not yet, identified a particular property.

    Approved Subject To

    Applications that have been approved by ANZ with one or more conditions that must be satisfied before the application can proceed.

    Credit checking/ Information verification in progress

    Applications, where Credit bureau checking is in progress or Customer details are being validated.

    Declined

    Applications that have been declined by ANZ.

    Forwarded for Lenders Mortgage Insurance

    Applications have been referred to manual mortgage insurance to make a decision on the application.

    Received (awaiting assessment)

    Applications that have been received and entered into ANZ's Mortgage Origination system but are awaiting assessment.

    Assessment in Progress

    Application has been referred for assessment by ANZ underwriters.

    Settled

    Applications where the disbursement details have been recorded and the loan has been drawn down.

    Withdrawn

    Applications that has been withdrawn/cancelled by the customer.

    Note: Some applications may be withdrawn by the Bank during processing to be assessed through an alternate system.

SEARCH RESULTS SUMMARY

  1. What information is displayed on the Search Results Summary page?
    • The Search Results Summary page lists applications corresponding to the pre-defined Quick Search conditions or Customised Search criteria specified.

      Depending on the particular Quick Search option or Customised Search criteria used to conduct the search, different information is displayed.

      The following table describes information displayed on this page.

      • Column title

      Description

      Application No

      A unique nine-digit number used to identify an application. Each application is allocated its own application number

      Clicking on the underlined number under the 'Application No.' column will bring up the detailed application information of the individual application selected.

      Customer Name

      Customer's full name.

      When Quick Searches have been conducted, only the name of the primary applicant of each application is displayed. This is indicated by the asterisk ('*') symbol that follows the Customer Name.

      When Customised Searches have been conducted, the names of ALL applicants of each application are displayed.

      Application Status

      Status of the application in the ANZ Mortgage Origination system

      Application Received Date

      Date that the application was received by ANZ

      Approved

      Date that the application was unconditionally approved

      Settled

      Date the loan was drawn down

      Total Amount Sought ($)

      Total amount sought in an application. If there is more than one loan product included in an application, the total amount sought is the total amount sought of all loan products.

      Estimated Settlement Date

      Date it was estimated that the loan would be drawn down

      Withdrawn Date

      Date the application was withdrawn

      Declined Date

      Date the application was declined

      Sub-Originator ID

      ID of the sub-originator who submitted the application

      Sub-Originator Name

      Name of the sub-originator who submitted the application

  2. Why do the same rows appear several times in the Search Results Summary table?
    • There is more than one instance of:
      • Customer
      • Purpose
      • Product or
      • Security contained within that particular application.

  2. How is information displayed if the application consists of more than one customer, purpose, product and security?
    • For applications that consists of multiple customers or purposes, products and securities, the Application Details Report will display:
    • One set of application details (ie. Application Received Date, Date if Approval etc);
    • One set of customer details for each applicant in the application;
    • One set of product details (ie. Product type, Statement Address, Amount Sought, Loan Term, Loan Amount) for each product used for each purpose within the application;
    • One set of security details (ie. Security Type, Address & Value) for each security used to secure a product.
